Krka is the Croatian National Park that got his name from the River Krka which runs trough it.
This area is famous for numerous lakes and waterfalls along the river Krka. The natural beauties here reach their highlight in amazing play of water and sun. The Park includes 142 square kilometres, of which 25.6 are water surfaces.
The River Krka has seven waterfalls and the best time to visit them is spring and summer when You can also swim in the river.
The Hydro power plant below Skradinski Buk waterfall is the second oldest hydro power plant in the world and the oldest in Europe. It was built only three days after the first world hydro power plant in the world on the Niagara waterfalls.
